Arthur L. Gruen, MD, FACEP, President and Chief Executive Officer

Arthur L. Gruen As President and CEO of EA Health, Arthur L. Gruen, MD has 18 years experience solving Trauma Center and ER call coverage problems for hospitals nationwide. Dr. Gruen has established the second largest medical group in this nation, and as such his company manages, staffs, schedules, codes, bills, and pays more than 6,000 physicians in a highly efficient, productive, effective platform that maximizes reimbursement to physicians in the most transparent and seamless system possible.

Dr. Gruen wears several other hats including the CEO of EA TeleHealth, a telemedicine company dedicated to solving the global physician shortage issue through remote physician presence. In addition, for the past 16 years, Dr. Gruen has continued to serve as the Medical Director and Chief of Emergency Services at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego as well as the President and CEO of Emergency Services Medical Corporation, an emergency medicine physician group. Dr. Gruen’s expertise in addressing the needs of hospitals, physicians, and their patients in Trauma Centers, ERs, Acute Care, and Telemedicine settings, have made him the nation’s leading expert in solving on-call physician shortage issues.

Kory Stetina, Chief Operating Officer

Kory Stetina A member of the EA team since 2002, Kory possesses a rare global perspective on on-call compensation strategies, solutions and process systems. Kory has played a leading role in the growth of EA Health from a local provider of regional solutions to a business partner to over 50 client hospitals and over 6,500 contracted physicians nationwide. Kory holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from Arizona State University and is a leading voice in the areas of call coverage contracting, physician coding and billing performance/compliance, Stark/EMTALA compliance, physician-hospital relations, and healthcare in the telemedicine setting. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is certified (CPC) by the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Kevin Derrick, Chief Information Officer

Kevin Derrick Kevin has over 20 years of technology leadership experience and for the last decade has been a pioneer in physician billing, revenue cycle, practice management, and clinical workflow solutions. Since 2005 he has led the implementation of state-of-the-art technology, compliance, and process solutions at EA Health, including our custom charge capture, physician compensation and medical billing platform. In 2001 he co-founded LeonardoMD, one of the first web-based practice management and clinical workflow vendors that currently serves thousands of physicians daily. Prior to that he held executive technology positions at B2B Data Corporation (now Primetrica, Inc.) and Ziff Davis in New York City, and holds a BBA IT degree from National University. Kevin has a passion for applying technology to medical operations, has been quoted in publications such as InfoWorld, and has been a speaker on behalf of Microsoft.

Rick Zamora, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Rick Zamora Rick has served in a financial leadership role of service industries and their related holding companies. Rick’s experience includes insurance companies, marketing communication firms and giants like TMP Worldwide, the parent company of career search firm Monster.com. In leading the Finance Department, he intends to use his 25+ years of business experience in developing strong and lasting partnerships with EA Health Clients. Rick is a Texan turned Californian, has a B.A. in Accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Debbie Huber, Vice President, Client Services

Debbie Huber Debbie has over 25 years of healthcare management experience including hospital based operations (Medical Staff Services), emergency department management and billing operations (Recruiting, Scheduling, Credentialing, Payroll, Clinical Operations, Documentation Services, Client Services, Implementations, Medical Director Training, P&L); emergency department software (Project Management, Physician Training); and wound healing operations (Sales, Marketing, Physician & Staff Recruiting, Management and P&L). Since January 2005 Debbie has worked for EA Health overseeing Client Services, Coding Operations, and Implementations of new client hospitals, and overseen Sales operations since 2009. Debbie is recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who and holds a BBA in Business Management and an MBA in Healthcare Services from the University of Dallas.

David Goodman, Vice President, Human Resources

David Goodman Prior to joining EA Health, David worked for the Sears Holding Company as the General Manager in the Glendale, California. He also managed the Hollywood and Santa Monica California units. He oversaw the productivity and financial performance of a $30M business. At year-end 2006, the Glendale unit ranked among the top customer satisfaction units in the Pacific Coast region. For twelve consecutive years, David’s employee turnover ranked below the region. He attributes low turnover to daily communication with his team, listening to ideas, recognizing performance and creating fun. Prior to the General Manager position, David was Operating Manager, District Trainer, Auto Center Manager and Customer Relations Manager.
